Abstract

This paper aims to present possibilities of psychotherapeutic management in view of the arrival of a new member to a therapeutic group, seeking to contribute to the development of the role of group coordinator. Three sessions of psychodramatic group psychotherapy were presented, as well as a bibliographic survey about the group therapist and about management of group conflicts. An analysis of the telic and transferential processes among the members, including the psychotherapist, as well as the difficulties and potentialities inherent to this role was performed. The arrival of a new member allowed access to relational aspects internalized by participants in their most conflicting bonds, with consequent attainment of a more spontaneous group.
