Abstract

This study focusses on the epistemological questions in texts of the Psychodrama where the influence of Theology and religion is present, using the critical interpretative synthesis for a literature revision. It is observed that the psychodramatic methodology is supported on an epistemological perspective from an ethical view, both in the religious phase, using a more metaphorical, poetical or mystical language, and in the scientific phase, where a more calculated comprehension and exactness of concepts are sought. Although it is possible to find vestiges of attempts to legitimate the psychodramatic proposals through a positivist scientific paradigm, it is clear that, since its religious and theological origin, the work of Moreno confronts this perspective, approximating to phenomenology and a nontotalitarian metaphysics.
