Abstract

This study conducted an integrative review on violence against women and psychodrama, based on publications of the Revista Brasileira de Psicodrama (2010–2024), to investigate how psychodrama has aided in research and contributed to the understanding and interventions related to this topic. Six articles were selected using five descriptors. Only three of them were based on gender theory. The absence of gender theory and intersectionality can lead to limited or individualizing interpretations, ignoring the cultural and structural dynamics. Sociodrama emerges as a powerful method of group intervention. This review highlights the scarcity of studies and the need to expand research that considers the sociocultural and structural dimensions of violence against women in Brazil.
